Purpose
This policy is designed to protect Web3 Serv, users, and the platform from money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions violations, and circumvention of restrictions.
KYC Is Mandatory for Sale and Restricted Access
There is no maximum participation limit. However, all participants must complete KYC, and Web3 Serv reserves the right to request additional verification, source-of-funds information, or reject participation based on AML, sanctions, risk, or compliance requirements through Sumsub.
Potential Checks
- Identity or entity verification through KYC/KYB.
- Sanctions and restricted-list screening.
- PEP and general risk screening.
- Source of funds and source of wealth when needed.
- Wallet and on-chain transaction risk.
- Manual review or enhanced due diligence for large or suspicious cases.
Geo-Blocking and Sanctions
Sale access is blocked from the United States and all countries or regions blocked by the project controls: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, and the occupied regions of Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk.
IP geolocation, VPN checks, user attestations, and KYC/AML provider results may be used to determine eligibility.
User Duties
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
- Do not use VPNs or masking tools to circumvent restrictions.
- Do not use funds or wallets connected to unlawful or prohibited activity.
- Provide additional documents or explanations when requested.
Web3 Serv Rights
- Reject, delay, or cancel a participation or service request.
- Request additional information or enhanced due diligence.
- Suspend an account, access, rewards, or Locked W3S Credits where risk exists.
- Process a refund, hold, or rejection where compliance, a payment provider, or law requires it.
- Report to or cooperate with competent authorities where legally required.
Records and Privacy
KYC/AML, security, and review records may be retained for periods needed for compliance and risk management. Privacy data is handled under the Privacy Policy and any applicable verification-provider terms.
