Conflict-of-Interest Policy

Effective: 30 June 2026

Web3 Serv may provide services to projects it also assesses (for example, advising a project and later assessing it for the W3S Trust Mark). This policy protects the independence and credibility of our assessments.

1.The principle

An assessment must be independent of any commercial relationship. A reviewer's judgment may not be influenced by Web3 Serv's other dealings with a project.

2.Reviewer declaration

Before any Trust Mark certification is issued, the reviewer must declare and affirm that they have no disqualifying conflict of interest with the project. The affirmation is recorded for audit.

3.Recusal

A reviewer with a material personal or financial interest in a project is recused from its assessment, which is reassigned to an independent reviewer.

4.Separation of duties

Commercial and assessment functions are kept separate. A commercial relationship does not guarantee a favorable assessment, and an unfavorable assessment does not depend on declining services.

5.Disclosure

Where relevant, we disclose that Web3 Serv has provided services to an assessed project. Concerns about a possible conflict can be raised at [email protected] or via /contact.
